Srikanth Subbarao, PhD.

Srikanth is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in low-carbon energy, climate change mitigation, and environmental management. With expertise in policy, technology, and capacity building, he has worked with clients across the globe, including multilateral and bilateral agencies, institutional investors, and private sector organizations.

Srikanth has focused on renewable energy, climate change mitigation policy, and technical advisory services throughout his career. He has significantly contributed to these areas in more than 20 developing countries in Asia, the Pacific, and Africa.

In addition, he is exceptionally skilled in training and capacity building, low carbon development, climate change financing, energy efficiency and conservation, clean development mechanisms, and national communications to the UNFCCC. Srikanth holds advanced degrees in climate change mitigation, renewable energy, and environmental engineering, including a Ph.D. from the University of Otago, a master's degree from the University of Oldenburg, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Mysore.

Vinutha Garageshwari Subramanya

Vinutha is a crucial member of the SCS team, responsible for managing the company's finances, contracts, HR, and regulatory compliance.

In addition to her professional duties, Vinutha is also a board member and volunteer at the New Zealand Citizens Advice Bureau, assisting refugees and asylum seekers with settlement support and helping individuals understand their rights and access necessary services.

Vinutha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology and New Zealand Certificates in Business Administration, Community Support Services, Health, Disability, and Hospitality.

Naveen Kumar Pawar

Associate

Naveen is a professional with over 15 years of experience in climate change, renewable energy, and energy efficiency projects and programs. He specializes in designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on climate change and energy efficiency projects in developing countries, small island developing states, and least developed countries.

Naveen has led numerous climate change and energy efficiency projects and policy review projects in Asia-Pacific and Africa. In addition, he has extensive experience in strategic consulting for governments, multilateral organizations, industry, and private sector clients on climate change mitigation, low emission development, carbon strategy, market-based mechanisms, GHG accounting and inventory, renewable energy, and energy efficiency.

He has helped clients address climate change, energy planning, resource efficiency, and other environmental and energy issues, helping them understand and seize opportunities and mitigate risks.

Bob Lloyd, PhD.

Bob is a seasoned professional with nearly 40 years of experience in renewable energy, energy policy in developing countries, and energy efficiency.

He began his career at the University of the South Pacific (USP). He later became the Director of Energy Studies at Otago University in New Zealand, where he focused on energy efficiency and supervised numerous postgraduate research students from various countries. He also formulated the successful Bushlight program, which received A$40 million in funding from the Australian government to investigate renewable energy options for remote Aboriginal communities.

He holds a PhD in Physics from Flinders University and a Master's degree in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of New South Wales.

Sean Weaver, PhD.

Associate

Sean is an expert in forest carbon management and payment for ecosystem services, with over 30 years of experience in forest conservation in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. He holds a PhD in Forestry from the University of Canterbury and strongly focuses on financing indigenous forest protection and sustainable forest management. In addition to his work as the Director and Principal at Carbon Partnership Ltd, he is also the Executive Chairperson of Ekos, a Director at Carbon Logistics Ltd and Bioenceptionz Ltd, and a member of various organizations, including the Carbon Farming Group, the National Jury of Blue Flag New Zealand, the Institute of Policy Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, and the Ako Aotearoa Academy of Tertiary Teaching Excellence.

Atul Raturi, PhD.

Advisor

Atul is a highly qualified renewable energy expert with a PhD from IIT Delhi in India. He has taught and conducted research at universities in India, Kenya, and Papua New Guinea and currently works at the University of the South Pacific.

His areas of expertise include the development of solar cells and PV systems, designing and analysing solar-wind hybrid systems, grid-connected PV systems, energy-efficient window materials, biofuels, and renewable energy policy.

He has supervised over 15 master's theses and leads courses on renewable energy at the USP. He has served as a consultant for the World Bank, IUCN, ADB, and UNEP. He is a member of the Fiji Carbon Trading Board, Pacific Energy Advisory Group, and the Science Planning Group on Sustainable Energy of ICSU-ROAP.

Additionally, he is a senior member of IEEE and a member of the International Solar Energy Society.

Ajay Kumar Gautam

Associate

Ajay Kumar Gautam is a climate change and energy enthusiast with an M.Tech. in Energy management. He has a working experience of 2+ years at Subbarao Consulting Services (SCS), NZ. He’s involved in providing technical support to LDCs and SIDS to prepare their National GHG Inventory, Mitigation Assessment and Biennial Update Reports (BUR) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to fulfil their commitments as a non-annex one party to the convention. He also supports countries in developing and updating NDCs, NDC Roadmap and Implementation plans, NAMA’s, and National Energy Efficiency Action Plans. He has experience providing services related to carbon offset standards like CDM, VCS, and Gold Standard (GS).

He’s also an Indian Green Building Council (IGBC)- Accredited Professional. His research interests are renewable energy, energy efficiency, Low-emission technologies, wastewater and sanitation. Currently, he’s based in Mumbai, India.

Deepthi Srikanth

Deepthi is a recent Monash University graduate, earning a Master's in International Relations (Gender, Peace, and Security) and Journalism. She is also a Bachelor's degree holder in Gender Studies and Politics and is highly motivated and passionate about gender studies. Deepthi has worked with PaCSIA, CAB, and SCS and has developed strong skills in engaging with diverse groups. She is committed to using these skills to support communities in need and work on issues related to gender, peace, and security. Throughout her academic career, Deepthi has been eager to use her knowledge and skills to make a meaningful and impactful difference. As a Gender Expert Intern with SCS, Deepthi has learned about gender mainstreaming and its application in the context of climate change. She has also built a website for SCS and contributed to renewable energy and climate change consulting programs and projects by writing articles and blog posts.
